The Renounciation of the King His first son, Raja Prasada Singh, had been studying in the USA, and on his first visit there, Ananta Prasada Singh also traveled to South America, where his life of chanting and speaking about Krishna began, to the joy of everyone. As Bhaktivedanta Sadhu Maharaja, he has also revived recognition of the Mungir kingdom for extraordinary service to humanity. He became the comittee coordinator for the Vrindavana Dhama Preservation Committee of the World Vaishnava Association (WVA). He participates in many international gatherings of the WVA. In the picture Srila B.A. Paramadvaiti Maharaj visits Kastharni Ghat Munger together with the new sannyasy Bhaktivedanta Sadhu Maharaj. In Colombia in 1997, Sadhu Maharaj received sannyasa from the founder of Vrinda, Srila BA Paramadvaiti Swami, who is a disciple of Srila Prabhupada Bhaktivedanta Swami; since then he has dedicated much of his time to spreading the glories of Vraja Mandala and the Holy Name of Krishna. To continue the sacred work of his grandfather and serve the principles of sanatana dharma for the upliftment of the people in the world, he is lecturing and counseling devotees from many different missions. The Mungir Mandir is once again flourishing these days. In the city of Mungir as well, many people are very proud of their king's influence in the Vaishnava world. Much work is yet to be done in Bihar, which has suffered severely from a lack of spiritual leadership. As a member of Vrinda, the Vrindavan Institute for Vaishnava Culture and Studies, Bhaktivedanta Sadhu Maharaja is an ambassador of the Indian spiritual Vaishnava tradition in the world and a very dear associate of the founder of Vrinda. The Mungir Mandir now offers very pleasant guesthouse facilites, and it is home to the Vaishnava Academy, which holds regular courses in combination with the American Internet University, called Uni-Veda. Yearly courses are conducted, and Vraj Mandala parikrama tours are organized with students and pilgrims from different countries. The main yearly festival in the Mungir Mandir is the Govardhana Puja. All those who want to make seva to Vraja Mandala and participate in the Mungir Raj Royal Award or who would like to stay in Mungir Mandir for Kartik, can contact us by e-mail, telephone or personal letter to Sadhu Maharaja. |
